Heritage Fairs (in Moncton and beyond)

Heritage Fairs are an opportunity to include your children in an educational, dynamic and exciting event! By participating in this program, you will encourage your children to learn more about your community, province or country while developing and expressing their creative talents. Even though the national fair is only open to children of ages 10 to 15, all of your children can participate at our local and regional fairs regardless of their age! You can choose any topic with local or Canadian content (bridges, transportation, buildings, history, geography, science, etc.) The project can be simple or elaborate. In April 2009, we will be holding our local fair for the Moncton Area Homeschool group at the Moncton Public Library. Our fair is open to both English and/or French speaking children of all ages. In May, children can present their project at the regional fair where they have an opportunity to win an award (see http://www.gnb.ca/0131/HeritageFairPrix-e.asp ) There will be no national fair this year. Les fêtes du patrimoine vous donnent l'occasion de faire participer vos enfants à une activité éducative, dynamique et passionnante! En participant
au programme, vous encouragez vos enfants à apprendre davantage sur leur collectivité, leur province et/ou leur pays tout en développant et en exprimant leurs talents créatifs. Même si la fête national n'est ouverte qu'aux élèves de 10 à 15 ans, tous vos enfants peuvent participer à la fête de notre groupe et la fête régionale, des plus petits aux plus grands! Vous pouvez choisir le sujet qui vous intéresse le plus (aviation, transport, géographie, sciences, histoire, etc.). Le projet peut être élaboré ou simple! Au mois d'avril 2009, nous aurons une fête du patrimoine pour le groupe d'éducation à domicile de notre région. Les enfants peuvent présenter dans la langue de leur choix (français ou anglais). Au mois de mai, les enfants auront l'occasion de présenter leurs projets à la fête régionale et même la possibilité de gagner des prix (voir http://www.gnb.ca/0131/HeritageFairPrix-f.asp ) Il n'y aura pas de fête nationale cette année.
